Rating/Response: ****. I was incredibly excited to see this book on the list. I had read this book numerous times as a middle school student and I was really excited to read it again. It's a great work of fiction that has a lot of mythology facts.

One question you would ask before a read-aloud: Does your family have a myth they like to retell?

  1. I'll definitely add this book to my collection. Have you read The Hunger Games? If not, don't. We'll read it in the fall and it's a much better learning experience if you don't know the book ahead of time.

The reason I ask is b/c the basic story behind The Hunger Games was inspired by the story of Theseus and the Minotaur.
