Reading Strategies Connection: K-W-L Chart: (Yopp & Yopp, p.36). This will help understand your student’s background knowledge regarding space. Students will work in small groups to brainstorm and record what they know (or think they know) about the solar system and what they want to know and later after the book is completed they can list what they have learned.
