Winnie the Pooh-Audiobook

Milne, A. (2002) Winnie the Pooh. New York, NY: Hodder Headline Audiobooks.

Brief Annotation: Familiar voices bring the tale of Winnie the Pooh to life in this 2002 audiobook of the classic tale. There are numerous tales on each CD. The ones I listened to involved the familiar tale of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet going on an adventure and trying to catch woozles, and also the tale of how Eeyore almost lost his tale. With the voices of Stephen Fry, Judi Dench, and Jane Horrocks, these stories really come to life.

Genre: Fiction. Animal fantasy.

Grade Level: Pre-k through 3.

Readers who will like this: Readers who are familiar with Winnie the Pooh and the picturebooks, children who don't know how to read yet.

Response/Rating (1-4): ****. I loved the selections I chose to listen to. I was happy to hear different voices for different characters, as the other audiobooks I've listened to in the past only had one voice actor for the whole story. The characters really came to life and it made me remember all the stories that I grew up with.

One question you would ask before a read aloud: Why would someone choose to listen to an audio version of a book over reading it? Who can this help?
