Readers who will like this: Children and adults because this is a fun story about a monster who tries to be scary but can’t. This is a great book about monsters because for some kids, monsters are really scary and this book shows that they are not scary. Children find this book funny and love how Leonardo and Sam become friends at the end.

Response/Rating (1-4):****I love this book. I think it’s so cute that Leonardo tries to be a scary monster and how he and Sam are a lot alike. They both don’t have friends of their own so they become each other’s friend.
