Kitten's First Full Moon

Henkes, K. (2004). Kitten’s First Full Moon. New York, NY:Greenwillow Books.

Brief Annotation: When kitten sees the moon for the first time, she thinks that it is a bowl of milk. She is thirsty, and determined to drink it. She stretches, and pounces, and chases it, but she just cannot reach it. When she climbs a tree to get closer to that milk, she sees an even bigger bowl of milk reflected in the pond below, and cannot believe her luck. When she pounces, she ends up drenched and disappointed. When she arrives at home, she finds a welcome treat.
