Willems, Mo (2010). Time to sleep , sheep the sheep. Illus. Mo Willems. New York, New York: Harper Collins.
This story showcases creatures in the midst of their bedtime rituals. A sheep, shark, and a giraffe are all shown getting ready for bed by brushing teeth, reading a book, taking a bath, and picking out a stuffed animal. It has cute illustrations that young readers will enjoy and also has age appropriate humor that children will love; an owl not quite ready for bed and shown wide awake watching everyone sleep.

One question you would ask before a read aloud: What are some activities you do before bed?
What's with the book's title? I haven't read this one, but I'm wondering what "Sheep the Sheep" means! There's lots of language play already in the title of the book which suggests opportunities for whole-to-part skills lessons.
