Williams, V. (1990) “More, More, More,” Said the Baby. New York, NY: Greenwillow Books.
Brief Annotation: This series of short story-poems feature three little babies playing with a grown-up family member. The stories are all very similar with only a few words changing from one to the next.
Genre: poem
Grade Level: Pre-K-K
Readers who will like this: Readers who like brightly colored illustrations. Readers who enjoy repetitive text.
Response/Rating (1-4): 2 I didn’t really like this book. The illustrations were great but the story was kind of pointless.
One question you would ask before a read aloud: Did your mom or dad or someone else in your family call you a special silly name when you were a baby?
